We are Nourishing Habits
Why was Nourishing Habits created?
Nourishing Habits was created to provide a space where people can be informed and educated about nutrition. In a world filled with misleading health information, this practice aims to teach clients the true principles of nutrition. Eating healthy is about finding balance, properly nourishing the body, and making sustainable changes, not about buying expensive ingredients or enduring hunger. Nourishing Habits offers a comfortable and safe environment for sharing food and lifestyle experiences without judgment. It promotes a positive relationship with food, encourages small but impactful lifestyle changes, and avoids the pitfalls of restrictive diets and marketing traps.
Hi, I’m Paulina
I'm a Registered Dietitian and Licensed Dietitian based in Texas with a B.S. in Nutritional Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin. I'm also bilingual and passionate about helping others achieve their health and wellness goals.
My background includes experience as an in-patient dietitian at St. David’s Medical Center, where I developed a deep interest in disease prevention and wellness. Now, I focus on nutrition counseling with expertise in clinical nutrition, weight management, sports nutrition, and general health and wellness.
As a Certified Sports Nutrition Coach, I combine my clinical background with my athletic experience to help clients optimize their performance. My athletic journey includes competing in the USA Triathlon Age Group Nationals and qualifying for the ITU World Triathlon Championship.

A dietitian is a protected title requiring advanced education, training, and licensure, with expertise in clinical nutrition and medical treatment. In contrast, a nutritionist is an unprotected title with variable education and training, often focusing on wellness and healthy eating. While both work in nutrition, dietitians are qualified to diagnose and treat medical conditions, order lab tests, and work in clinical settings, whereas nutritionists typically do not have these qualifications or scope of practice.
