A dietitian is a protected title requiring advanced education, training, and licensure, with expertise in clinical nutrition and medical treatment. In contrast, a nutritionist is an unprotected title with variable education and training, often focusing on wellness and healthy eating. While both work in nutrition, dietitians are qualified to diagnose and treat medical conditions, order lab tests, and work in clinical settings, whereas nutritionists typically do not have these qualifications or scope of practice.

Review of your intake form
In-depth interview to gather personal information and habits
Discussion of your health history and medical background
Clarification of your goals and motivations
Setting of realistic goals and initial guidance on achieving them
